Terms of Service
Version 2
1. Purpose and definitions
These terms govern the order, payment, delivery and use of the Tilewind product sold by nexonbook Corp. ("the Company").
- Product: the Tilewind Engine USB — a physical USB storage device carrying offline software that reads a folder of photos and draws a moving photo wall on a large screen.
- Licence: the signed right to run the software held on that USB. One USB is one licence, and it runs without an internet connection.
- Order number: the reference for a single order. The Company sells without an account; an order is reopened with its order number and the email address given at checkout.
- Support centre: the enquiry desk in the service (
/support). Each enquiry gets a ticket number, reopened with that number and the same email.
2. Publication and amendment
- These terms are published on the product and checkout pages.
- The Company may amend them within the limits of applicable law, announcing the effective date and the changes 7 days in advance, or 30 days in advance where the change is material or unfavourable to the buyer.
- Amendments apply to orders placed on or after the effective date. Orders already concluded remain governed by the terms in force at that time.
3. Orders and formation of contract
- The buyer enters quantity, recipient, phone, shipping address and email on the order page and requests payment.
- The contract is formed when payment is approved. The order number and contents are shown immediately.
- The Company may decline an order, or cancel it after formation, in any of the cases
below. Any amount already paid is refunded in full.
- the details given are inaccurate and delivery is therefore impossible;
- the item is out of stock, or the displayed price or description contains an obvious error;
- the order is plainly for resale or diversion, or payment fraud is established.
- An order placed without an account opens only with the order number and the email address used. An order number is not a password, so the Company asks for both.
4. Payment
- Payment is processed by Toss Payments. The Company does not store card numbers or other payment credentials.
- The currency follows the shipping destination — Korea in KRW, elsewhere in USD. The currency and amount are shown before payment.
- The amount is decided on the Company's server. The total on screen is guidance; the server recalculates it immediately before payment.
- Currency conversion or foreign-transaction fees charged by the buyer's card issuer are a matter between the buyer and that issuer.
5. Delivery
- Delivery is by courier. The Company dispatches within [ ] business days of payment approval and records the tracking number on the order.
- Domestic shipping costs [ ]; international shipping costs [ ]. Both are shown before payment.
- Customs duties, import taxes and clearance fees on international orders are payable by the recipient, as are the costs of a return caused by refused clearance or refused receipt.
- The recipient name, phone number and address must be accurate. Where a parcel is returned or redelivered because these were wrong or the recipient could not be reached, the buyer bears the cost. The order page says so beside each field.
- Delivery may be delayed by events beyond the Company's control — natural disaster, customs delay, courier disruption. The Company informs the buyer as soon as it knows.
6. Licence and permitted use
- Each USB carries one signed licence and may run the product on one screen at a time.
- The product runs offline. The Company does not inspect the buyer's device remotely and does not require online activation.
- The buyer may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, rent or resell the software. Passing on the USB itself is permitted, and the licence travels with it.
- Photos and video the buyer puts on the USB remain the buyer's own. The Company neither collects nor can see them, because the product is offline.
- If a USB is lost or damaged, give the Company the licence number or the number engraved on the USB; after verifying it the Company explains the replacement terms, which may be chargeable.
7. Obligations
- The Company complies with applicable law and these terms, packs the product safely and dispatches it within the stated period.
- The Company protects personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- The buyer must give accurate information and may not use another person's name, payment method or contact details.
- The buyer must use the product within the limits of clause 6.
8. Withdrawal, exchange and refund
Withdrawal, return, exchange and refund follow the separate Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these terms and does not limit the buyer's statutory consumer rights.
Please note — the product is software on a storage device, so breaking the seal on the packaging may end the right to withdraw (Korean Electronic Commerce Act art. 17(2)3; in the EU, Directive 2011/83/EU art. 16(i)). This is stated at checkout and printed on the packaging.
9. Personal data
The Company collects only what an order, a delivery and an enquiry require. Items, purposes, retention, processors and cross-border transfers are set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limits of liability
- The product is used with the buyer's own screen and playback hardware. Differences caused by that hardware, its resolution or its codecs are not defects of the product; the Company publishes the recommended environment with the product.
- The Company is not responsible for the content of photos and video the buyer places on the USB, for rights in them, or for consequences of displaying them.
- The Company is not liable for loss caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disaster, power failure or network failure.
- Nothing above limits liability for the Company's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any right the buyer has by law.
11. Governing law and disputes
- The Company and the buyer seek to resolve disputes amicably; the support centre is the place to start.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and claims are brought before the court having jurisdiction under Korean civil procedure. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
- Where a dispute is not resolved, the buyer may apply to the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Documents & Transactions Dispute Mediation Committee, or to the equivalent body in their own country.
